Intelligent Design is a theory that says that the complexity, variety, and harmony of the universe could never have happened by random chance. Natural selection is not enough to explain people, consciousness, or any of the beauty we see around us.
Intelligent Design and Creation Science are theories developed in the US since 1970, focused on discrediting and even forbidding the theory of Evolution. Evolution–which is just a theory of Charles Darwin–contradicts the revealed word of God in the bible.
Wise Up! There’s nothing wrong with believing in the bible. But if you’re going to seriously contend that the world is 6000 years old, that man was created at the same time as the rest of the world, or that animals didn’t evolve — well, you have to ignore all conventional science. If you want to abandon the scientific method, you’re going to have to get rid of your TV set, your car, even the computer you’re reading this on.
The Theory of Evolution is just a theory which will never be proven until we get some sort of a time machine. But the Theory has practical applications (like, the latest generation of bio-drugs) today. If it works, why not accept this theory the way everybody else in the world does? Even the Vatican Times doesn’t have a problem with that.
